Reference - Operating SpeakOn:
Starting an Application
To start an application, you must be in the Manager application which acts as a launch pad for other applications. If you are not in the Manager application you will first need to end the application you are in (the current application) before you start another one.
In the Manager application, the focus is placed at the first (and only) 'Available Applications' control of the Starter task which is a list containing all the applications available. Using the 'Up' [up arrow] (8) key and the 'Down' [down arrow] (2) key, navigate the list to the application you want and then press the 'Select' [Enter] (5) key. The application required will be started and the focus will be placed at the first control of the first task of this application. When the application is loaded it will announce that it is ready.
Ending an Application
In any application press the 'Main' [Alt] (9) key to bring up the Main menu and you are usually placed at the 'End application' menu item. Press the 'Select' key to end the current application.
In some applications, when you use the above procedure you may be placed at the 'End task' menu item. In this case, press the 'Select' key to end the current task first. After the task ends, you will be placed in another task which will allow you to end the current application using the procedure described above.
The only application which you cannot end is the Manager application. It is always running to enable you to start other applications.
