Reference - SpeakOn media tasks - Additional information:VI services:
The TNAUK eText media directory allows you to find and play (read) TNAUK (Talking Newspaper Association UK) eText publications which include newspapers, magazines and media network guides located on the TNAUK website or on your computer.
The sub-directories of the TNAUK media directory are:
a. Newsagent – Directory generated automatically based on the TNAUK website;
b. Current Reading - Local directory which contains files downloaded from the TNAUK website;
c. Favourites - Your favourite publications stored in sub-directories based on the publication title;
d. Guides - Network (radio, digital, TV and satellite) guides;
e. Samples – Sample files of TNAUK publications.
File Extensions supported
'.doc' (TNAUK format not Microsofts word), '.anr' (a-technic reader).
Settings
There are three groups of settings described below:
a. Username and password
To do these settings use the TNAUK eText Login Information task which can be started from the TNAUK eText task Main menu;

Alternatively, you can edit the relevant login file located in:
C:\SpeakOn_User_Settings\VI_Services\TNAUK_eText\login.txt
Open the login.txt file with a text editor such as Notepad.
The following refers to the relevant settings in the login file:
1. In the opened file, change 'Myusername' and 'Mypassword' to your own (the username and password you have obtained from TNAUK).
2. Save the file and close Notepad.
b. Network guide settings
You can choose the channels or stations which are available to you for the various guides.
To configure these settings you need to use the TNAUK customization task which can be started from the TNAUK eText task Main menu;

Alternatively, you can edit the relevant network file (RG.txt, DG.txt, TG.txt or SG.txt) located in:
C:\SpeakOn_User_Settings\VI_Services\TNAUK_eText
Open the relevant file with a text editor such as Notepad.
1. In the opened file, insert the character '*' (an asterisk without the apostrophes) in the beginning of the line of the network you want to hide.
2. Save the file and close Notepad.
c. Directories' settings
The following settings are not required unless you want to use different directories
The relevant configuration file is located at:
C:\SpeakOn\app\VI_Services\TNAUK_eText\config\config.txt
1. Open the file with a text editor such as Notepad.
2. Change the following as required:
Change your Current Reading directory set by default to:
currentReading.directory=${user.content.dir}/TNAUK_eText/Current_Reading
Change the directory path to your Current Reading directory.
Change your Favourites directory set by default to:
favourites.directory=${user.content.dir}/VI_Services/TNAUK_eText/Favourites
Change the directory path to your Favourites directory.
3. Save and close the file.
Important Note: To use this facility you must be a TNAUK subscriber with a valid username and password.
